Run your own Consultation event with our Online Events Toolkit

The Department of Health are running a range of activities to listen to the views of adults with ASC, carers, family members and professionals working with people with ASCs, alongside the formal consultation until September 2009.

Get involved by running your own local events using our downloadable Event Toolkit, below. The Toolkit has been developed by the research company Opinion Leader.

How to use the Events Toolkit – choosing your preferred event materials

The Events Toolkit offers organisations, and local groups, guidance and support in running their own Autism Consultation events.

You can choose the resources you need, depending on the type of event you are running and the type of attendees.

The Event Toolkit provides suggestions on how to run an event and the types of questions that you could ask. As well as general information, there are documents tailored for sessions with:

  • adults with ASCs and their carers/ family
  • professionals working with adults with ASCs.

All of the feedback that we receive from your discussions will be analysed and included alongside the other feedback from the engagement events and formal consultation. It will be written up in a research report which will be submitted to the Department of Health.

How to send feedback from your events

We'd like event organisers to send us the outcomes of your events via the feedback forms (Appendix B and D below).

You will need to download the latest version of Adobe Reader to type into these forms on screen.

Please also include any 'your ideas' worksheets, if you use them.

Email completed forms and sheets to: [email protected]

Or Post to: Hannah Vernon, Project Manager, Dialogue by Design, Ambassador House, Brigstock Road, Thornton Heath CR7 7JG

We need to receive your forms by 15th September 2009. We cannot accept any responses that are not on the feedback form.
