Conference in Australia on Community Involvement and Impact Assessment
On her recent visit back to Australia Sarah Alder, one of our Project
Managers, attended a conference ‘A Perfect Match - Uniting
Community Involvement and Impact Assessment’ in Brisbane,
organised by the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand
(EIANZ) and the International Association of Public Participation
(IAP2). This conference was the first of its kind and explored the
practices of impact assessment and community consultation.
Sarah presented a poster on ‘Involving communities in consultation’,
showcasing the process undertaken for the CoRWM project. If you
would like to view a copy of the poster presented (reduced to A3
              size) please click
here. The one-day event concluded with a ’20 question
challenge’ where participants had the opportunity to give
their opinions on key issues and see the responses immediately.
Results of this challenge are now available on the EIANZ
              website.
